Growing Food

This project is about increasing peoples’ awareness about Growing Food and inspiring others to give it a go. Being no green thumb myself it was really by accident that I learnt about some of the fantastic community activities happening in Melbourne to do with growing food, guerrilla gardening and local food swaps.
All the participants are involved in growing food whether it be simply growing a pot of herbs on their window ceil or participating in large scale market gardens such as at CERES. In the form of a questionnaire I asked them to share about their experiences with growing food. In the process of doing this project not only did I walk away with many bags of lemons and tomatoes I also leant a thing or two about the importance of community, sharing and of course some gardening tip!

Singapore family & fun

Last month on my trip away I had great fun getting to photograph this lovely family in Singapore. It was really hot and humid but they were all great sports and got into it.

Time Series

It's fascinating to see the changes in the first year of a babies life. These Time Series portraits were taken over one year. At One month, Three months, Six months and One year.

Maintenance

This is one of the first portrait series I ever did. It is portraits of the people who, at the time, helped 'maintain' me, my Mechanic, Hair dresser etc. The best thing about doing this project was getting to know and connect with these people I saw regularly in their professional guise yet hardly knew anything about them personally.

Grandparents

My grandparents would probably be horrified if they knew their portrait was on my blog but fortunately they are not online so what they don't know wont hurt them.... Maybe I'm biased but personally I think they are gorgeous and just had to share them with you.
